Best Places to Watch the Superbowl

We’ve updated our list for the Best Places in Raleigh to watch the Super Bowl in 2013.

The Giants play the Patriots this Sunday in Superbowl XLVI at 6:30 pm. If you don’t want to stay home, there are a lot of places around town that you could watch the game. The Citizen has scoped out the choices, and we’ve come up with what we think is the cream of the crop, the best places in Raleigh to watch the Super Bowl.

Backyard Bistro has a lot of burger options and is the designated place for Patriots fans.

Draft

Draft offers beer, burgers, and billiards in a “tavern casual” atmosphere. The menu features more than 40 North Carolina drafts and a wide variety of gourmet burgers. Most of the booths have their own flat screen.

The Brickhouse

The Brickhouse is a large sports bar featuring 40 beers on tap, eight 120″ big screen TVs, and over 30 flat screens. The Brickhouse serves American fare and provides pool tables and dart boards. The large patio is dog friendly.

The Flying Saucer offers 100 beers on tap, 100s more in bottles, and pretty good selection of food. Perhaps not the biggest and the most screens of the bunch, but definitely a great environment to watch the game.

Tobacco Road boast a full bar, and the most upscale dining choices of the bunch (ribs, shrimp and grits, surf and turf). Best of all, if you get there early, you may be able to claim your own recliner right in front of the screen.

Tyler’s, which opened recently, has 80 Craft and Specialty beers on draft, a casual upscale menu, open layout and plenty of flat screens.

World of Beer offers over 500 beers and a lot of screens. If you want food, you’ll need to bring your own or order from one of the surrounding restaurants. WOB gets crowded on rainy Tuesday nights, so get there early!
