Best Places to Watch the Super Bowl

The Baltimore Ravens play the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl XLVII, this Sunday, February 3, 2013 at 6:30 pm.

We’ve chosen several Raleigh restaurants and sports bars that offer the best in comfort, food, adult beverages, and, of course, a great view of the game.

The Brickhouse

3801 Hillsborough Street • Raleigh, NC 27607
(919) 829-3666
brickhouse-nc.com

The Brickhouse is a large sports bar featuring 40 beers on tap, eight 120″ big screen TVs, and over 30 flat screens. The Brickhouse serves American fare. The large patio is dog friendly.

The Flying Saucer

328 West Morgan Street • Raleigh, NC 27601
(919) 821-7468
beerknurd.com

The Flying Saucer offers 100 beers on tap, 100 more in bottles, and has a selection of food that runs from sandwiches to bratwurst to pizza. The Flying Saucer does not have the biggest or largest number of screens of our choices, but it is a great environment to watch the Super Bowl.

Tobacco Road Sports Cafe

222 Glenwood Avenue • Raleigh, NC 27603
(919) 832-3688
tobaccoroadsportscafe.com

Tobacco Road boast a full bar and has the most upscale dining choices of our suggested restaurants, (e.g. ribs, shrimp and grits, surf and turf). Best of all, if you get there early, you may be able to claim your own recliner right in front of the screen.

Tyler’s Taproom

18 Seaboard Avenue, # 150 Raleigh, NC 27604
(919) 322-0906
tylerstaproom.com

Tyler’s has 80 craft and specialty beers on draft, a casual upscale menu, an open layout and plenty of flat screens. The burgers are very good, bordering on the best in downtown Raleigh.

World of Beer

4208-150 Six Forks Road • Raleigh, NC 27609
(919) 784-9261
wobusa.com

World of Beer offers over 500 beers and a lot of screens. If you want food, you’ll need to bring your own or order from one of the surrounding restaurants. WOB gets crowded quickly, so plan to arrive early.

Yard House

4208 Six Forks Road • Raleigh, NC 27609
919-881-2590
yardhouse.com

Yard House is an upscale, casual eatery. Yard House offers 140 imported, craft and specialty ales and lagers on tap. If feels as if there are that many flat screens, as well. Yard House opened in mid-2012 and quickly became a local favorite. It is sure to be crowded, but of all of these choices, the atmosphere is probably the most electric when the game gets exciting.
