City of Raleigh Museum Offers Free Admission to Active Duty Military

The City of Raleigh Museum is now participating in the Blue Star Museums program. The program offers free admission to the nation’s active-duty military personnel and their families from Memorial Day, May 26 through Labor Day, September 1.

On June 7, 2014, the City of Raleigh Museum will be launching an exhibit honoring Raleigh’s World War II veterans. The “Our War: Voices of Raleigh’s World War 2 Veterans” exhibit that will be on display until 2016.

The City of Raleigh Museum is located at 220 Fayetteville Street in downtown.

Hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Admission is $5 for the general public, $3 for seniors over age 55 and $3 for youth ages 7-17. There is no admission charge for children ages 6 and under.
