Bull Spec magazine is a great home for local authors! We’re delighted to host the Bull Spec third annual summer speculative fiction event, led by editor Samuel Montgomery-Blinn, on Saturday, August 3, at 7 p.m.
Our wealth of featured authors is headlined by Mythopoetic and William L. Crawford Award-winning author Karen Lord (coming to us from Barbados!), and includes Ann and Jeff VanderMeerr, Will Hindmarch, Asheville’s Nathan Ballingrud, and Durham’s Mur Lafferty (The Shambling Guide to New York City) for an evening of readings, remarks, discussion, and book signing. Robert V.S. Redick also joins us with The Night of the Swarm. Redick, often compared to masters such as George R.R. Martin, Philip Pullman, and even Tolkien, brings his acclaimed fantasy series,The Chathrand Voyage, to a triumphant close.
