Returning to WakeMed Soccer Park prior to their match on July 9 is the fifth annual, Pig Pickin’ and “Boss of the Sauce” contest. The fan favorite event will take place at 6:00 p.m. inside the stadium at the “Far Post Beer Garden”. For only $10, fans can sample delicious North Carolina barbeque and receive either a Lonerider Kupono – Low Captain’s Ale, a Pepsi soft drink or water.
Five lucky contestants will have the chance to showcase their barbeque skills while displaying their RailHawks pride. Longtime RailHawks partner, Backyard Bistro, will provide barbecued pork and sides, while the contestants will be asked to bring their best homemade RailHawks-themed BBQ sauce and decorate their individual table in a creative way. A team of celebrity judges will evaluate the contestants on three criteria: taste, RailHawks-themed name and creativity of display, with the winner receiving two Club tickets to the West Ham United exhibition match on July 12. All contestants will also receive a $20 gift card to Backyard Bistro. Think you have what it takes to be the #BossoftheSauce?
