The McIver Quartet is a recently formed ensemble of distinguished string players who serve on the faculty at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. The group is in much demand for performances in the Triad area and has plans to tour in the United States and Europe.

The powerful art of French sculptor Auguste Rodin is the point of inspiration for the McIver Quartet’s presentation at the NCMA. Over 30 of Rodin’s masterworks can be viewed at the Museum’s new West Building, thanks to the thrilling gift of the Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Foundation. The quartet has assembled a rich survey of French music contemporary with Rodin and reflective of his spirit. It features the warm romanticism of Saint-Saëns, the boldness of Stravinsky, and the serenity of Koechlin.
