Tipping Paint Gallery invites you to attend a juried exhibition of contemporary still life entitled Flowers & $#!+. The exhibition will open First Friday, February 1, 2013 with a reception from 6:00pm – 9:30pm and run through February 24th.
A still life depicts a collection of common inanimate objects that reflect society and cultural trends during the artist’s time. Often considered a lowly art form, it has been with us since early Greek and Roman times. As time and styles have progressed and changed, art movements have addressed this genre in their own unique manner. How will local artists depict our world?
