Third annual Got to be NC Festival, May 20-22! Come enjoy a mix of food, music, carnival rides and games, antique farm equipment and grandstand entertainment. And best of all, admission is free for all ages!
Come sample and buy food and wine from dozens of North Carolina companies in the Food Expo, and treat your kids to the petting zoo, pony rides and racing pigs. Check out the fabulous grandstand shows with Draft Horse Pulls and Rocky the trick mule on Friday; Antique Tractor Pulls on Saturday; and new to the State Fairgrounds Lawnmower Racing on Sunday. On Saturday come enjoy the Carolina Pig Jig, where Masons from across North Carolina will gather and cook whole pigs, shoulders and even chicken in a quest for top trophies and prizes. And you’re the winner with your $10 admission to eat all the “Q” you can handle from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. (And kids under 12 eat free)
Find bluegrass music and vintage crafts, and listen as top area bluegrass bands compete on Saturday, beginning at 11 am on the Triangle Stage for bragging rights and cash. And what festival would be complete without a carnival full of rides, games and great food for all ages? You want more? How about a collector car show and a Harley ride-in? How about a daily tractor parade of the antique tractors on hand?
