MEXhibit: “Mexican Artists in North Carolina”

The City of Raleigh Museum and the Consulate General of Mexico are sponsoring an exhibit of contemporary Mexican artists entitled, “MEXhibit: Mexican Artists in North Carolina”. The exhibit runs May 1 – 30 and features works from eight artists who reside and work in North Carolina.

The artworks include sculpture and paintings that reflect the experience of a new generation of talented and recognized Mexican artists that make great contributions to the American and Latin American culture. Their work embodies the relationship between tradition and the contemporary. The artists featured in the exhibit are Leticia Álvarez –Pintora, Cornelio Campos, José G. Vázquez, Rosalia Torres-Weiner, Socorro Hernández Hinek, Mariana Rodríguez –Pardy, and Verónica Grossi-Pintora.

The City of Raleigh Museum is located at 220 Fayetteville St. and is open 9 am to 4 pm, Tuesday through Saturday, and Sunday from 1 pm to 4pm.

Admission is $5, $3 for seniors/students.
