Raleigh Recycling along with Keep North Carolina Beautiful, Wake County, ProShred Security, Sonoco Recycling and Harris Teeter, are bringing this fantastic recycling and shredding event to the residents of Raleigh. This event has become an annual event to celebrate America Recycles Day. Last year the event recycled 25,320 pounds!
Location Note: North Hills North is the parking lot at the intersection of Dartmouth and St. Albans. Enter off St. Albans.
Items Accepted at the Event:
- Electronics – Most items with a cord
- Shredding – Max. 3 boxes per person. No other media such as CDs, DVDs, VHS tapes, diskettes. NO binders!
- Rigid Plastics – Items such as old recycling bins, laundry baskets, buckets, lawn furniture, children’s toys.
- Plastic Bags/Film – Shopping bags, dry cleaners bags, bread bags. Nothing with food contamination!
- CFL Bulbs – Only compact fluorescent bulb (the twisty ones). NO fluorescent TUBES!
- Political Signs – Plastic signs only. NO wire frames or wooden stakes.
