Rialto’s “Greater Tuna” Tickets Go On Sale July 8th!
by Cathy Hoelzeman-Bond
For the first time, the Rialto Players are doing a summer production! If you follow what’s been going on at the Community Arts Center, then you know we’ve been raising funds toward matching a $15K donation with special events and activities, like Coe Wilson’s Arts & Spirits classes and our first ever Beer Tasting. And we are getting close!! Our fundraiser production of “Greater Tuna” should put us over the top and we hope you will join us for this hilarious play and help us meet our goal!!
An ensemble cast of 13 actors are in rehearsal, playing 21 characters. Most are seasoned Players and three are new to the Rialto stage. Next week, I’ll introduce you to our wonderful cast!
Performances of “Greater Tuna” are July 26th, 27th, and 28th and August 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. Friday and Saturday evening performances are at 7:00 pm and Sundays are 2:00 pm matinee performances. General admission tickets are $10. We will not be holding a dinner theater this time around but will be selling hot dogs, chips, drinks, and sweets in the Gallery before each performance.
Tickets will go on sale on Monday, July 8th, in person at the Morrilton Area Chamber of Commerce, online at the Rialto’s website rialtoartscenter.com, and at the door. For more information, call (501) 772-3627, and mark your calendar to spend an outrageously funny “day” in the lives of the citizens of Tuna, the third smallest town in Texas!!
