RunRaleigh Half Marathon General Information

Start & Finish Location
The start & finish area are in Cameron Village. The half marathon and 5K will start on Cameron St. at Woodburn Rd. and finish on Woodburn Rd. in front of Capital RunWalk.
 
Packet Pick-Up
Packet Pick-Up will take place at Capital RunWalk, located at 430 Woodburn Rd. Raleigh, NC 27605 on Friday April 13, 2012 from 5pm-7pm and Saturday April 14, 2012 from 1pm-6pm. There will be race day packet pick-up at Capital RunWalk from 5:30am to 6:30am.
 
There will not be any race day registration for either race. Someone else can pick up your race packet for you but they will need a photocopy of your driver’s license or some other form of photo ID.
 
Timing
The RunRaleigh Half Marathon and 5K will use the Precision Race Jaguar timing system. The Precision Race Jaguar timing system utilizes disposal RFID timing chips. No other timing system device may be worn. You must wear your assigned race number during the race to receive your finish time and for visual personal ID while on the course. All participants will receive their gun time and chip time for the race they complete. For more information about Precision Race, see www.precisionrace.com.
 
Volunteers
If you wish to volunteer, please contact Paula O’Neal at runraleighhalf@aol.com.  Volunteers will be assisting at the start/finish area, water stations, and as course monitors.
 
Rules and Regulations
Although the race benefits the SPCA of Wake County, for the safety of the dogs and participants, dogs are not allowed in either race. Inline skates, skateboards, roller skates or any mode of transportation other than running or walking are also not allowed.
 

Course Description

This scenic course will start and finish in Cameron Village. The race route will have runners passing by the NCSU Bell Tower, the newly renovated Pullen Park, along Western Blvd. and MLK Blvd, Raleigh’s Downtown skyline, the Martin Luther King Statute, the new Watauga Wetlands Center, and over 5 miles on Raleigh’s beautiful Greenway.
