The Cory Band, under the direction of the charismatic Philip Harper, from Wales, England, is the top-ranked British-style brass band in the world. They are the current British National Champions, European Champions, Brass in Concert Champions and are back-to-back winners of the British Open Championship in 2018 and 2019. They made a North American tour three years ago and played to sold-out houses in six cities. They are returning to Raleigh, to perform in Meymandi Concert Hall, in the Duke Energy Center, on Wednesday, October 30th, one of only four stops on this year’s tour. The concert begins at 7:00 pm. They are exceptional musicians and remarkable ambassadors for the tradition of brass banding.
