“The People’s Law School” at Campbell

Campbell Law School and the Wake County Bar Association (WCBA) will partner to host an informative and free legal information session at the law school on Saturday, Jan. 19. Open to the general public, “People’s Law School” will consist of three one-hour sessions on a variety of legal topics. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m., with sessions running from 9 a.m. until noon. Parking will be available at the City of Raleigh Municipal Parking Deck across from the law school on West Morgan Street.

Discussion topics will include bankruptcy, custody and child support, estate planning, landlord and tenant issues, traffic court, and a general “understanding the legal system” unit. There is also a unit that features the Advocates for Children’s Services’ Push Out Prevention Project (POPP), which is working to dismantle the school-to-prison pipeline in Wake County. Each session will be led by a member of the WCBA.
