Triangle Chili Challenge

It’s time for the 2017 Triangle Chili Challenge. On Sunday, November 12, 2017 in Downtown Cary, restaurateurs and food trucks compete alongside the Cary Police and Fire Departments for the “Best Chili in the Triangle”.

The Town of Cary along with The Downtown Cary Food & Flea bring back this multi-style chili competition for the third year. Competition is stiff among the restaurants, food trucks, personal chefs and organizations that battle for the trophy.

The event also features live music, craft beer, art vendors, raffles and cash prizes. They expect over 1,800 people to gathered, taste and cast a vote for their favorite chili. A $1 tasting fee gets folks an official spoon and a ballot for voting.

The winner of The Triangle Chili Challenge will go home with $300 in cash, a trophy and serious bragging rights. Along with these prizes, the named winner will be able to choose a charity in which proceeds collected will be donated.
