First Friday is a free self-guided tour of downtown Raleigh’s cutting edge cultural hot spots. Local art galleries, art studios, alternative art venues, and museums stay open late the first Friday of every month to welcome thousands of art-seeking enthusiasts downtown. Wake County Library's annual book sale runs from March 29 to April at the Graham Building at the Fairgrounds in Raleigh, NC. Book prices range from $1 - 4 each, with cost decreases each day and on the final day books are $5.00 per box or $2.00 per bag.
