North Carolina has been ranked as the third best state in the country in which to do business, according to a recent CNBC article. Virginia and Texas were ranked 1st and 2nd, respectively.
The ranking was based on a number of criteria. Interesting, North Carolina ranked higher than either Virginia or Texas in both cost of doing business and the quality of the workforce. Â Unfortunately, NC ranked badly in the health of the overall economy (#41), which appears to be have been the main criteria that held NC back.
