The African American Cultural Festival of Raleigh and Wake County is an annual Labor Day Weekend celebration of African American culture as expressed through art, music, dance, food and community. Explore the work of visual artists in our Art Gallery Walk; music & dance performances on our Main Stage; and interactive family activities in our Family Village! Come out and celebrate AACF’s 7th year of teaching, sharing, and celebrating the traditions of African Americans here in NC and from around the world.

FAMILY VILLAGE
The African American Cultural Festival Family Village is a great place for festival goers of all ages to have a fun, educational, hands-on experience. Enjoy engaging performances on the Family Village stage by storytellers, dance troupes, drum circles, and much more. Create something of your own in the Make-and-Take craft tents. The Vendor Marketplace tents on Fayetteville Street are full of unique products sold by individual business owners and vendors. ART GALLERY WALK
The Art Gallery Walk lines both sides of Fayetteville Street with tents displaying original art created by artists from North Carolina and across the country. Stroll along the street; be inspired by the plethora of paintings, jewelry, ceramics, sculptures, and mixed media art the festival has to offer. Meet the artists, learn about their techniques, and purchase an original creation to enjoy for years
