The Carolina RailHawks will face the Charlotte Independence in the Third Round of the 2016 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup in what has been described as a “historic rivalry.” This tournament is recognized as the oldest ongoing national soccer competition in the United States and is inclusive to teams from the MLS, NASL, USL, and even amateur clubs.
