Dale Watson and The Lonestars followed by screening of Bernie

July 12, 2013 @ 7:00 pm

Pull up your boots, grab a longneck beer, and join us at the Museum Park Theater for an evening of entertainment, Texas style.

Honkytonk hero and country music maverick Dale Watson, a member of the Austin Music Hall of Fame, stands alongside Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, and George Strait as one of the finest country singers and songwriters from the Lone Star State.

Dale is a key contributor to the soundtrack of last year’s sleeper hit Bernie, a film by award-winning Texas director Richard Linklater (Dazed and Confused, The School of Rock). It stars Jack Black in what many critics consider his best performance, with strong support from Shirley MacLaine and Matthew McConaughey. This movie, which takes place in the small east Texas town of Carthage, is destined to be a black-comedy classic.

To top it all off, Iris Restaurant will be serving Texas BBQ brisket and Texas beer.
