The Destination Dix community festival is a free, family-friendly event is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 23 at Dix Park. It will mark the one-year anniversary of the sale of the Dorothea Dix campus by the State of North Carolina to the City of Raleigh.

Other Destination Dix activities and features include: a Ferris wheel, tethered hot air balloon rides, kids crafts and inflatables, a vision wall, lawn games and a Touch-a-Truck area. There will also be shade areas to escape the summer sun.

Shuttles will be available, at no cost, to transport event attendees from Downtown Raleigh and Centennial Campus. There will be no public parking on the Dix Park grounds during the festival.
The City will provide bike racks for ride-in event goers to park/lock up their bikes. The City is teaming up with Trek Bicycle Shop who will be providing bike check-ups, quick fix stations, and more.
