Event: Joel Lane Museum House presents Joel Lane’s Beer Garden

Location: In the gardens at 160 South Saint Mary’s Street, Raleigh, NC (at the foot of Saint Mary’s St.), which is two blocks south of Hillsborough St., not far from downtown.
Admission: $54 per person; $49 for members of the Joel Lane Historical Society; Must be 21 years of age to attend; Advanced purchase strongly suggested through Eventbrite website. No refunds.

The Joel Lane Museum House, “The Birthplace of Raleigh,” will sponsor Joel Lane’s Beer Garden in the gardens on Sunday, September 18, 2016 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm with a rain date of Sunday, September 25. It will take place at 160 South Saint Mary’s Street, Raleigh, NC. Admission is $54 per person; $49 for members of the Joel Lane Historical Society. Must be 21 years of age to attend. Advanced purchase strongly suggested. Admission may be purchased by visiting Eventbrite.com and entering “Tavern Party” in the search box. Tickets are non-refundable unless we must cancel the event.
Colonel Lane was a founding father of North Carolina’s capital city and an officer in the Wake County militia during the American Revolutionary War. Guests will toast his contributions to the founding of the capital city, Raleigh, at the current location of his home that was built in 1769.
The event will include a beer tasting of delicious brews from area breweries. Wine will be available for those who don’t drink beer. Light hors d’oeuvres will also be served. Live Music will fill the air.
