MAA’s Open Arms Charity 5K to help those in a medical crisis.

Race entry: $30 per person 18 yrs and up, after July 1^st $35 per person 18 yrs and up

Race entry: $10 per person 10-17 years

T-shirt given on race day with registration while supplies last

The Open Arms Foundation is the corporate charity of MAA, our parent company. It is a 501(c)(3) tax-deductible charity chartered by the State of Tennessee. The charity was created in 1994 by a group of MAA employees as a way to reach out to communities in which the company operates. The goal of Open Arms is to provide temporary housing for families who need to travel away from their own home for medical treatment. The program to date provided 193,689 nights of rest to families in medical crisis.
As of 2016 – Open Arms homes: 47 in 33 cities with an average cost to maintain a home per year @ $17,500.
