Long-standing live powerhouse O.A.R. has announced a 20-date summer tour that includes stops at Red Rocks Amphitheatre and the Allman Brothers Band’s first-ever Peach Tree Music Festival, featuring Zac Brown Band, Dark Star Orchestra, and The Wailers. The tour follows the release of ‘King,’ the widely-praised seventh studio album from “a self-assured band at the height of its creative powers” (M Magazine).
O.A.R., with special guest Rebelution, will play Raleigh Amphitheater on August 8. Tickets go on sale Friday April 13 at 10am at LiveNation.com, Ticketmaster, select Walmart locations or charge by phone 800-745-3000.
Tickets are also available at the Hardee’s Thickburger Box Office at Time Warner Cable Music Pavilion and the Progress Energy Center box office.
O.A.R.’s whirlwind summer also includes a July 13 performance at Cincinnati’s Bunbury Music Festival, featuring Weezer, Death Cab For Cutie, and Jane’s Addiction. The tour comes on the heels of their intimate “Extended Stay” run, which was capped off by a five-night stand at NYC’s Bowery Ballroom and a surprise guest appearance from Wyclef Jean and Cris Cab. The band recently performed their latest single “Gotta Be Wrong Sometimes” on ‘The Rachael Ray Show’ and will appear on American Public Television’s ‘Front Row Center’ beginning on May 17th.
