Red and White Soccer Classic

The purpose of the Red and White Soccer Classic Organization is to encourage participation in a healthy athletic competition that raises funds for cancer research. Two sophomore Park Scholars created this organization in early September of 2010, motivated by their passion for soccer and their desire to involve NC State in making a difference in the Triangle. As their idea took shape, the members of the organization decided that the charitable contribution it would make would have a greater impact if the funds went directly into a cancer research fund. As a result, the Red and White Soccer Classic is proud to be partnering with the V Foundation. It is our hope that this event will attract participants and donors annually, both within the NC State community and the Triangle as a whole.

Any NCSU student, faculty member, or staff member can play.

For $11 you get a RAW Classic 2012 T-shirt, 3 guaranteed games, and you help a great cause: the Jimmy V Foundation for cancer research!
 
What day is the tournament?
Saturday March 17th, 2012!
 
Where do I show up for the tournament?
The Lower Miller Intramural Fields (located right behind Carmichael Gym Complex).
 
What time do I show up for the tournament?
Arrive by 9:30 a.m. to get checked in and warm up before the games promptly start at 10 a.m.

Can you clarify the rule on co-ed teams?
Two girls have to be on the field at all times.
 
When is lunch break?
From 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Be back and ready to start play at 2:00 p.m.!!
 
What time do I need to be back from lunch if my team makes the playoff stage?
Be back by 1:45 p.m. to receive your game assignment for the playoff rounds (single elimination at this point).
