Hoops of Hope Raleigh is hosting its first-ever, annual free-throw marathon on February 21 at Trinity Academy of Raleigh.
Hoops of Hope Raleigh, an organization created to help children affected by AIDS, is organized by four fifth grade students from Trinity Academy. The community is invited to participate in this event as individuals or team entries. Individuals will shoot 500 free-throws and teams will collectively shoot 6,000. In hopes to raise $25,000 to benefit the construction of a medical clinic in Hamaundu, Zambia that will provide HIV/AIDS testing, treatment, and education, Hoops of Hope is asking participants to raise $250 in donations.
