Tree Lighting at Lafayette Village

 
Need a little Holiday spirit? You’ll find it on Saturday, December 1^st during the spectacular Tree Lighting ceremony in Raleigh’s Lafayette Village. With something for everyone, this event runs from 5- 8pm with our tree in the Plaza lighting up on the stroke of 7.
 
Traditional Carols, a visit from Santa, dozens of specials from village merchants plus a chance to help the needy will make the 2^nd Annual Lafayette Village Tree Lighting a holiday hit for the entire family.
 
As you stroll the village grounds, enjoy music from the Peace College Carolers and make sure the kids meet with Santa between 6 and 8pm. Visits to Lafayette Village merchants are a must, especially with offers that make food and beverages hard to resist and provide a wide variety of gift ideas for your Christmas shopping.
 
A numbers of merchants will also be collecting donations of new, unwrapped toys for Toys for Tots while All Breed Animal Rescue is partnering with Shoe Box Recycling to collect quality, paired shoes for reuse. If you’re planning on attending the Tree Lightning, please consider bringing donations of coats, hats, mittens and gloves for the needy as well as canned goods and other non-perishable food items.
