Trolley tours leave from Mordecai Historic Park every Saturday, from March through December at 11 am, 12 pm, 1 pm and 2 pm. Denny's Challenge 5K raises funds for the Melanoma Research Foundation. Each year a 5k run/walk is held in honor and memory of Denny Neely, who lost his battle with Melanoma in 2009. Denny's Challenge is the largest race in North Carolina that benefits melanoma research. Event website
