Sola Coffee has opened. Sola (not to be confused with Solas located on Glenwood South) is a local, family-owned business and is located in Greystone, on the corner of Sawmill and Lead Mine Road. Sola offers free Wi-Fi, outdoor seating, and will offer drive-through service in the future.
We have not had a chance to check out Sola personally. But, from the looks of the coffee and the made-on-site pastries, Sola does it right.

North Raleigh really needed Sola Cafe! It’s clean and homey and get the TANGERINE AND GINGER ICED TEA.
I’ve been there 3 times and will never go back! The first time I had a chicken salad sandwich and enjoyed it. The second time I had the Sola turkey and the vinaigrette made the bread soggy. The third time I got the turkey again but I asked for it with mayo instead of the sog inducing vinaigrette. I was absolutely DISGUSTED.
Are you the one that got the band-aid in your sandwich? If so I see they deleted that part out.
yeah I saw the band-aid post on yelp as well. How in the world does that happen? It makes me sick even thinking about it!

I was there for 5 hours today (not something that is normal for me). It is more like a “community” than a business. The latte was incredible and the turkey sandwich was delicious and fresh. I am so glad to live close by!
The absolute best latte I have tasted so far I found at Sola. This could become an obsession! Can’t wait to get back for the next latte.
